Men’s Basketball releases 2023-24 schedule; team to make trip to Canada in late November

BGSU Men’s Basketball released their 2023-24 schedule earlier Wednesday afternoon.

Last season, the Falcons (11-20) did not have a successful season, failing to make the Mid-American Conference Tournament, which led to the dismissal of former head coach Michael Huger.

But now, the orange and brown have a new leader: Todd Simon, who comes to BGSU from a successful tenure at Southern Utah.

Simon brings in 10 brand new faces to the roster, including the near seven foot tall big man, Jason Spurgin, who spent last season at Southern Utah with Simon.

The biggest highlight on the non-conference slate is the three-game trip to Montreal, where the Falcons will face UNC-Asheville, UMass-Lowell, and Dartmouth.

The team opens the season on Nov. 6 at home against Chicago State.
