On Monday January 15th, Martin Luther King day, the Bowling Green softball team was active in the community, volunteering at the  Bowling Green MLK Day of Service event, held at the Bowen Thompson Student Union.

This was the 16th annual MLK Day of Service held at BGSU. At this event, students, clubs, faculty  and some sports teams participated in giving back to the community.

“It’s really fun for all of us to come together and be together,” said sophomore catcher Marti Henkel. “It’s cool to do something for the community.”

The Falcons softball team has made it a mission to be more active in the Bowling Green community. Whether it has been attending other sporting events, planting trees on campus or simply volunteering, the softball team is putting in their efforts to better the city of Bowling Green.
