On Monday and Tuesday, Bowling Green women’s golf team competed down in McAllen, TX in the Vaquero Invitational, hosted by the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

11 teams were in invitational, with Bowling Green finishing third among them. The Falcons ended the two-day event trailing only by six strokes to Abilene Christian, and Texas A&M Corpus Christi.

BG had their best score of the 2023-24 season so far with 868 strokes, with the two top individual finishers being Kayla Davis (213) and Sammie Dolce (214)

Coming off a 20th place finish in last month’s Rio Verde Invitational in Arizona, beating only hosts Western Michigan, the placement improvement shows a potentially promising future for the Falcons.

BG now turn their focus to the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate, hosted by Tennessee Tech in Sevierville, TN on March 17-19.
