Spencer Kersten, 23, signed with the ECHL on Thursday after four collegiate seasons.

Kersten, who played three seasons at Princeton and one season at BGSU, will now play for the Orlando Solar Bears.

While Kersten skated for the Falcons, he played in all 36 games and racked up 16 points, including nine goals and seven assists.

During Kersten’s tenure at Princeton, he appeared in 93 games and was team captain for his 2022-23 campaign. He was also named Eastern College Athletic Conference All-Academic player for all three seasons.

Because of the Solar Bears’ affiliation with the NHL’s Tampa Bay Lightning, Kersten will have the ability to train and play as an NHL prospect.
