Bowling Green High School and Middle School were put into lockdown this morning after the high school received a threatening phone call on March 4, according to a press release from the district.
“The Bowling Green Police Division responded immediately and conducted a thorough sweep of Bowling Green High School and Bowling Green Middle School, both inside and outside the buildings, and has now given the all clear,” the release said.
Bowling Green High School said students and staff are safe, and building operations at both schools have resumed normal activities.
Similar incidents have also been reported across Ohio today, putting districts such as Ottawa Hills schools in Lucas County in lockdown, according to WTOL11. Some schools in Northeast Ohio such as Rocky River High School were also placed under a lockdown earlier today.
