Before we all know it, MACtion will begin within the volleyball world.

Teams across the conference are rolling right along with their non-conference schedules, and while some remain red-hot, others have hit some bumps in the road.

NOTABLE STORYLINES:

• Western Michigan continues to surprise many throughout the conference with their impressive 9-1 start. For a team that did not make the MAC Tournament a season ago, the Broncos have changed the tone surrounding their program, picking up wins so far this season over Michigan (3-0), Wake Forest (3-1), and Villanova (3-1).
• The Broncos also swept the MAC West Division Player of the Week awards for the second time this season, with Logan Case claiming Setter of the Week, Keona Salesman earning Offensive Player of the Week, and Andelyn Simkins being Defensive Player of the Week.
• In the MAC East, Buffalo’s Katrin Trebichavska and Ohio’s Caitlin O’Farrell were named Co-Offensive Players of the Week, while Akron’s Bryn Roberts was named MAC East Defensive Player of the Week, and Buffalo’s Mandy Leigh the MAC East Setter of the Week.
• Despite a tough week out in Colorado, BGSU’s star freshman Amanda Otten recorded her first two career triple-doubles against Colorado State and Pacific. Against the Rams, Otten racked up 17 kills, 13 assists and 11 digs, while against the Tigers, she recorded 11 kills, 25 assists, and 10 digs.
