BGSU Volleyball announced their upcoming 2026 conference schedule on the morning of Wednesday, April 29. The rest of the schedule, including non-conference opponents and conference tournament information, will be released at a later date.
The Falcons, who finished 10-8 in Mid-American Conference play last season, begin at home in a two-game series against Miami (OH) on Thursday, September 24. BG and Miami tied in conference schedule last season and held the fifth and sixth seeds in the MAC Tournament.
Next, BG will head to Kent, Ohio for Kent State in another two-game series the following Thursday. Kent State earned just three wins in 18 MAC games in 2025.
Back at home on Friday, October 9, the Falcons host Ohio for two games, then have one each against Buffalo and Akron on the road the following week. Ohio finished third in the conference last season but was upset by No. 6 Bowling Green in the first round of the tournament. Buffalo and Akron missed the playoffs.
BG’s final two two-game series of MAC play are against Central Michigan and Ball State in the week before and week of Halloween. CMU missed the tournament in 2025 and BSU finished 17-1 as the first seed. They were upset by the eventual MAC tournament champions, Toledo.
The volleyball Battle of I-75 takes place in the Stroh Center in Bowling Green, Ohio on Tuesday, November 3, and in Savage Arena in Toledo, Ohio on Tuesday, November 10. Bowling Green has won three of the last four matches over the Toledo Rockets, all on Tuesday.
In between the Toledo matches is a single game at Western Michigan on Saturday, November 7.
The final match of the season is at home against Eastern Michigan on Friday, November 13. The Falcon’s schedule holds four games in the last two weeks, none are back-to-backs against the same team.
Most of the matches do not have times established, only the series at Kent State has game times listed (6 p.m.).
The MAC tournament, now hosted by the team who won the regular season the previous year, will be held in Muncie, Indiana by Ball State (2025 regular season champions). Six of the last seven MAC tournament host sites have been in Muncie, Indiana or Bowling Green, Ohio.
2026 will mark the second season in the tenure of head coach Alex DelPiombo and her staff that was brand new for the 2025 season. Bowling Green most recently won the MAC regular season in 2024 and the MAC tournament in 2022.
