NOTABLE STORYLINES:

  • Bowling Green dominated the MAC East Division Players of the Week awards this week. Sophomore Middle Blocker Jessica Andrews earned MAC East Defensive Player of the Week, racking up 14 blocks across two matches against the Michigan Wolverines. Meanwhile, Setters Jaden Walz and Amanda Otten earned MAC East Co-Setter of the Week, with Walz racking up 27 assists on Friday against Michigan, while Otten had 22 on Sunday.
  • Speaking of the Falcons, their weekend sweep of the Wolverines was the first time since 1992 that BGSU has won two games against a Big Ten team in a season (@Wisconsin, vs Minnesota).
  • With MACtion beginning this week, Western Michigan and Buffalo sure seem to be on a collision course for each other. Both teams sit with a comfortable gap from the second place team in their respective divisions, but as we all know, in the MAC, you never know what can happen week in and week out.
