The city of Bowling Green announced Concerts in the Park and Lunch in the Park will return this summer and released times and dates for each weekly event.
The in the park events are a tradition in Bowling Green, and this year the lineup is set for community members to enjoy live music, interactive activities, games and a variety of food options.
The Concerts in the Park are set to take place every Sunday evening in June and July with performances beginning at 7 p.m. All ages are encouraged to attend with various activities and food trucks available and performances taking place at Needle Hall Stage in City Park (performances and activities may be moved indoors to Veterans Building Atrium based on weather).
The Lunch in the Park is set to take place every Saturday afternoon in June and July with lunch being served from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and live musical entertainment until 1 p.m. Each week will feature a different lunch from Bowling Green restaurants. There will be activities for all ages including cornhole, box hockey, giant Jenga and more. Lunches will take place at the Martin and Kiwanis Shelters in City Park (Lunches and activities may be moved indoors to Veterans Building Atrium based on weather).
The first concert is set for Sunday, June 7 with performances from Bowling Green Community Bands and food from LeeAna’s BanAnas food truck.
The first lunch is set for Saturday, June 6 with Kabob It set to provide the food and musical performance from Tim Tegge on guitar.
Neither Event will take place the weekend of Independence Day (July 4 and July 5).
