BGSU women’s basketball has added former Seton Hall guard Joniyah Bland-Fitzpatrick from the transfer portal—she announced in a post via social media.
Bland-Fitzpatrick played two seasons with the Pirates, playing in 37 games off the bench. This past season, she appeared in 22 games while playing 15 during the 2023-24 season.
The New London, Conn., native averaged 2.1 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 12.1 minutes last season. In her Seton Hall career, she totaled 47 rebounds and eight steals, scoring a total of 64 points.
In a game against LSU on Dec. 18, 2024, she recorded a career-high seven rebounds, four points, three assists, and two steals.
Bland-Fitzpatrick is a graduate of Westtown High School, where she went 76-13 in four years.
The former Pirate is the second incoming transfer for the Falcons and head coach Fred Chmiel, along with former Akron guard Kaia Woods. Bowling Green has lost Keiryn McGuff to Akron and Brook Simpson to Loyola Chicago.
