New turf is being put down the week of August 24 as construction continues on The Student Green.
The Student Green is the new practice field for the Bowling Green State University (BGSU) Falcon Marching Band. Club sports and student organization events will also use the field.
The Student Green is a $1.5 million project funded through the Banding Together campaign.
With $70,439 donated by 82 donors, $60,000 was matched by BGSU Board of Trustees Chair Drew Forhan and BGSU President Rodney Rogers.
In part of the Homecoming festivities, students and the BGSU community are invited to the dedication and ribbon cutting of The Student Green on Saturday, Sept. 13, from 1 to 2 p.m.
