Pudge, the Bowling Green State University (BGSU) Football locker room cat, was invited to be a part of The Cat Fanciers’ Association (CFA) International Cat Show and EXPO and also has been busy around the Bowling Green community.
The EXPO takes place in Cleveland, Ohio, from Oct. 11 to 12, 2025. With Pudge’s meet and greet being on October 12. The time frame for this event is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Pudge was invited to the International Cat Show in Cleveland, Ohio, because of his instant fame as the BGSU Football locker room cat.
The CFA International Cat Show and EXPO and Pudge for his meet-and-greet is expecting to have over 15,000 visitors.
The CFA International Cat Show and EXPO is a rather large event. Inviting over 1,000 famous, fancy, adoptable, athletic and influencer cats.
The CFA does ask that guests leave their own cats at home. It is an annual event for cat owners all across the United States.
The event has cat competitions, adoptable rescue cats, shopping vendors, educational content, meet & greets and many other entertaining events.
Pudge has also been busy around the community.
Part of the proceeds from the Pudge t-shirts, by BG Memories, go directly to the Wood County Humane Society.
“For us, that [proceeds from the t-shirts] means we can get more of these babies vetted,” said Steph Barnes, the social media outreach and event coordinator for the Wood County Humane Society. “Having only a contract vet come in twice a month, it can be a little rough for those vet costs and getting all these little babies that extra special attention they need, being so young when they come in.”
Those proceeds can help cats like Pudge, but also the dogs that the Wood County Humane Society helps too.
Pudge also has his own special drink at Tabby and Fido’s Cat Cafe.
The Pudge Frappe is a caramel and mocha drink, topped with whipped cream and a caramel and chocolate drizzle. The drink is, of course, “Pudge approved” as written on Tabby and Fido’s Instagram page.
With the Battle of I-75 coming up on Oct. 11, students can be sure that they will see more of Pudge leading up to the big game.
