As Thanksgiving approaches, BGSU is reminding students to begin planning for Winter Break housing.
All residence halls will close at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13 and will remain closed until students return for spring check-in on Jan. 9, between 10 or 11 a.m.
Before leaving campus, students must complete the Winter Break Closing Checklist, which will be provided by their Resident Advisor and requires signatures from all roommates.
Students who need to remain on campus during Winter Break can apply for on-campus break housing, available from Dec. 13 through Jan. 9 for $210 per week.
Applications must be submitted through the BGSU Housing Portal between Nov. 10 and 9 a.m. on Dec. 5, with approval notifications sent on Dec. 8.
Students who are not returning for the Spring 2025 semester, including those graduating, transferring or withdrawing, are required to submit the Spring Cancellation Form in the Housing Portal and move out by 10 a.m. on Dec. 13.
For students who need additional time on departure day, BGSU also offers extended stay requests, available through the Housing Portal for circumstances such as transportation delays or late work shifts.
For any questions, students are encouraged to contact the Office of Student Housing by phone or email.
