A busy August comes to a close as a new school year begins, kicked off by the annual Rally BG on Main event Saturday, 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on, as the name suggests, Main Street.
This month saw the Wood County Fair, the National Tractor Pulling Championships and the final Firefly Festival of the summer leading up to this event that invites new and returning students to the heart of the city.
Main Street will be closed, allowing for a number of free activities, including –
- Pep rally at 6 p.m.
- Zipline
- Bounce houses
- Ninja course
- Giant games
- Miniature golf
- Tie dye
- Spikeball
Of course, downtown shops and restaurants will be open and the event will be held within the city’s Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA). There will also be a variety of food trucks available, including –
