U.S. News & World Report released its rankings of hospitals across the country and while ProMedica Toledo Hospital ranked #1 in the area, Bowling Green’s Wood County Hospital received some high marks, too.
Wood County Hospital received 4 out of 5 stars for patient experience and in all 10 of the subcategories met or exceeded the state and national average. The hospital scored particularly high in the “Satisfaction with hospital room cleanliness” category, where it scored 94% compared to the national average (86%) and state average (87%). It also scored well in the “satisfaction with communication about medicines” category, scoring 82% compared to the national and state average (both 76%).
The publication listed 20 hospitals on its “honor roll,” or the best hospitals in the country. The Cleveland Clinic and University of Michigan Health – Ann Arbor were the two hospitals in the region to crack that list, which included four hospitals in California, three in New York City (and one across the river in Hackensack, NJ) and two each in Boston and Chicago.
The Falcon Health Center is part of Wood County Hospital.
