The Wood County Public Library announced several events to take place over the next few weeks.
These include Page to Table Cookbook Discussion at the Mondays at 6:30 p.m. at the WCDPL Carter House. Participants are encouraged to checkout a cookbook, prepare a dish and discuss what
you liked (or disliked) about the book.
Those meetings will feature:
- September 22 – Super-Italian: More Than 110 Indulgent Recipes Using Italy’s Healthiest Foods by Giada De
Laurentiis - October 27 – Hot Sheet: Sweet and Savory Sheet Pan Recipes for Every Day and Celebrations by Olga Massov
and Sanaë Lemoine - November 24 – Cooking in Real Life: Delicious & Doable Recipes for Every Day by Lidey Heuck
The library will partner with the Exchange Club of Bowling Green for a conversation on the Constitution with Judge Matthew L. Reger on Wednesday, September 17 at 7 p.m. in the 2nd Floor Programming Room at the Bowling Green Library. No registration is required.
Matthew L. Reger has been on the bench since 2017. Prior to that, he was the Bowling Green municipal prosecutor for 20 years. He graduated from Michigan State University in 1990 and the University of Toledo College of Law in 1993.
The library’s Friends of the Library Book Sale takes place the weekend after Labor Day –
Member Only Sale: September 4 from 5 to 8 p.m.
September 5 from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
September 6 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
September 7 from 1 to 4:30 p.m.
You can Bring your Friends of the Library bag and fill it for $10, or buy a Friends of the Library bag and fill it for $10. Individual books can be purchased as well. Payments are cash or check to WCDPL Friends only – no credit cards or online payments.
A WCDPL Foundation Series event will feature This Old House host, Kevin O’Connor on Thursday, October 9 at 7 p.m. at the BGCS Performing Arts Center, 540 W. Poe Road. Connor is the Emmy-award winning host of the PBS series This Old House and Ask This Old House and has been on the show since 2003. Registration is required, and tickets for this event are free and open to the public. Tickets are now available.
