Looking for cozy, collaborative, or calm study spots near Bowling Green State University’s (BGSU) campus? As far as academic aesthetics go, BGSU has plenty to offer!
Jerome Library
For six consecutive years, BGSU students, through Best of BG, have voted Jerome Library as a top-shelf study spot. Open daily, there is always access to the plethora of resources, only a librarian’s assistance away. Closing at midnight on Sunday through Thursday, it is the perfect place to cram the night before an exam. Enjoy reserveable study rooms for private sessions, whiteboards and stationary accessible to all, an entirely silent floor and collaborative spaces for group projects.
Bowen-Thompson Student Union
Whether students focus best in the bustling hubs of the first and second floor or prefer the quiet, plush nooks tucked away near university offices, the Bowen-Thompson Student Union (BTSU) is a go-to. The convenience of replenishing study snacks at the market, Starbucks and the Nest keep students energized. With access to computer labs, Falcon Outfitters and various offices, the BTSU keeps students close to the heart of campus while still in their zone.
Radbill Center
Located on the third floor of McLeod Hall, the Radbill Center hosts the College and Life Design program, an initiative to help students get the most out of their academic and networking connections. But this location isn’t just advantageous because of its friendly staff and commitment to the college experience. With comfy furniture and a free coffee station (one drink per person, per day), this small sanctuary is also great for a chill study session with friends or a respite between classes.
Grounds for Thought
If students are interested in venturing off-campus, dozens of cozy coffee shops, less than a mile away, sprinkle throughout downtown Bowling Green. A fan favorite, Grounds for Thought, is an independent small business and a community meeting spot. Their café offers homemade desserts, sandwiches and of course, specialty coffees and tea, while the bookstore section supplies rows of secondhand books, records, newspapers and comics. Additionally, its free wireless internet keeps patrons connected.
