Unlimited games at Kreischer
Join fellow gamers at Kreischer on Tuesday, Sept. 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. for Video Game Night. Occurring every Tuesday during the Weeks of Welcome, Video Game Night is open to all students at BGSU to hang out and enjoy classic and new games alike. You can even bring the game that your friends won’t play with you anymore because you’ve gotten too good at it. The event takes place in the Compton-Darrow side lobby and attendees will receive a free collectable pin. It just keeps getting better. Collectable pins rock, and so does gaming with new friends. Bring a controller, bring a friend and hang out with fellow gamers this Tuesday at Kreischer.

Yoga at the library
Make time for productive relaxation this Wednesday, Oct. 1 and head to Jerome Library, Room 142 for a free yoga session from 12:10 to 12:50 p.m. No registration is required and students of any experience level are invited to join. Bring a mat or towel and enjoy the mental and physical health benefits of yoga. Whether you are a gymnast or can’t touch your toes, time used to ground yourself and reduce stress is always time well spent. Jerome Library is the perfect place for it because everyone there is already quiet. By the end of the session, you might be so relaxed that you’re ready for a nap, but save it for after because you don’t want to miss a wink of yoga at Jerome Library.

Stargazing at the BGSU Observatory
Have you ever looked up at the night sky and wished you could get a closer peek? You could try zooming in with your camera or jumping as high as you can, but I doubt you’ll get a better view than at the BGSU Observatory. On Friday, Sept. 26 from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. pursue your curiosity of the cosmos and go stargazing on the roof of the physical sciences building. If it is a clear night, you can join the Department of Physics and Astronomy on the roof and view the sky through a research-grade telescope. Other smaller telescopes will also be available for your observing pleasure. To get to the roof, follow the signs in the physical sciences building to the elevator and press the “R” button. That will take you up to the roof, where you will learn the names of stars, constellations and maybe even see a planet or two.
