Bowling Green, OH – The Falcons celebrate after defeating the Toledo Rockets in the Battle of I-75 at Doyt L. Perry Stadium in Bowling Green, Ohio.

BGSU football is 3-3 after completing the largest comeback in program history to defeat Toledo 28-23 in the Battle of I-75.

Here are some of the questions that were sent in for this week’s Falcon Media Sports Network mailbag:

Q (Drake Harlett): When was the last time BGSU football started there season 3-0 at home and 0-3 on the road?

A (Sean Connelly): 1986 was the last time BG started the year 3-0 at home and 0-3 on the road. BG started the year beating Ohio at home, 21-16. The Falcons then had three straight road games following that in which they lost: at Minnesota, 31-7, at Central Michigan, 20-10, and at Miami (OH), 24-7. The Falcons then came home and defeated Western Michigan 17-3, and beat Eastern Michigan 24-10, which led them to start the season 3-3. Bowling Green finished the year 5-6 that season, which was just one year removed from their 1985 campaign in which they went 11-0 in the regular season.
