Saturday, Oct. 18, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., a No Kings Rally is taking place on the intersection of East Wooster Street and North Main Street.
According to No Kings, “[President Trump] thinks his rule is absolute, but in America, we don’t have kings and we won’t back down against chaos, corruption and cruelty.”
Those attending the event are expected to remain non-violent and to de-escalate any potential confrontations. Weapons, including those with legal permits, should not be brought to the event.
The event is hosted by the Wood County Democrats and Bowling Green Persists, but No Kings is a national movement.
There will be rallies across the United States on Saturday, but some other local events are in Napoleon, two in Wauseon, two in Toledo, Fremont, Port Clinton and Sandusky.
