It’s time to stop and smell the daylilies.
The Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Department is inviting the community to Dig a Lily, Take a Lily. This event is happening from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 25 at Simpson Garden Park.
Dig a Lily, Take a Lily helps to prepare the lilies for winter and cut back the daylilies in the park.
Participants get to take a lily for their work. Community members just need to bring the appropriate clothes for gardening and everything else is provided.
If there is a rain delay, the new date would be Sunday, Oct. 26 10 a.m. to noon.
