BGSU men’s basketball has been picked to finish seventh out of the 13-team Mid-American Conference (MAC) in the preseason coaches’ poll, the conference announced Tuesday morning.
Meanwhile, Akron, who has won the conference tournament championship in back-to-back years, was picked to win the conference, receiving 11 first-place votes. Miami (OH) was picked to finish second, receiving the other two first-place votes.
Akron (eight), Miami (two), Kent State (one), Ohio (one) and UMass (one) all received votes to win the conference tournament.
Additionally, senior guard Javontae Campbell was picked as a preseason First Team All-MAC selection, the first Falcon to be recognized with the honor since Daeqwon Plowden in 2021-22.
