Bowling Green head coach Todd Simon has signed a contract extension with Bowling Green. Simon’s new contract now running through March 31, 2030.
“Todd has done an outstanding job leading our men’s basketball program,” said BGSU athletic director Derek van der Merwe in an official statement. “His dedication to building a strong culture, mentoring student-athletes, and competing at a high level makes him the right leader for our program moving forward.”
Simon’s extension comes off an 18-14 season with the Orange and Brown, finishing 5th in the MAC and losing in the quarterfinals of the MAC tournament to Toledo.
Under Simon, Bowling Green stands at a record of 52-46 (the most wins by a BGSU men’s basketball head coach in their first three seasons) and have made the MAC tournament all three seasons under Simon.
“I am grateful to Derek van der Merwe and President Rodney Rogers for their faith in the direction of the program,” said Simon. “With their support and alignment, we have navigated a transformative time in men’s basketball with success and have built a sustainable infrastructure to continue to build upon.”
