BGSU men’s basketball has landed a commitment in South Carolina State’s Jayden Johnson, a 6–foot–1 guard, according to his Instagram post.
The sixth transfer portal commitment for the Falcons, Johnson joins Trey Simmons, Zach Howell, Juan Cranfrod Jr, Tristan Beckford and Christ Essandoko.
Johnson started 29 of 32 games this season for the Bulldogs and averaged 13.4 points, 3 rebounds and 3.5 assists — adding 44 steals to the mix.
With shooting splits of 43.2% from the field and 37% from three on 10.3 shots per game and 3.1 threes per game, Johnson can find an open shot from anywhere on the court.
Johnson was the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Preseason 2025-26 player of the year and on the first team All-MEAC preseason team. He finished the season on the All-MEAC second team.
