The Mid-American Conference (MAC) has revealed the 2025-26 Women’s Basketball Preseason Coaches’ Poll, with BGSU women’s basketball placing sixth out of 13 teams, receiving 101 total points.
Coming in first is Kent State, receiving 133 points and five first-place votes. Right behind the Golden Flashes is Toledo with 118 points on two first-place votes. New addition UMass placed third, earning three first-place votes on 115 points, and defending MAC tournament champions Ball State came in fourth, with 112 points and three first-place votes.
The only other team above the Falcons in the poll is Central Michigan, who have 105 points and is projected to finish fifth.
Five teams were picked to win the MAC tournament, which include Kent State (five), UMass (three), Toledo (three), Ball State (one), and Miami (one).
Bowling Green’s junior guard Paige Kohler received a Preseason All-MAC First Team selection. Kohler earned an All-MAC Honorable Mention after starting all 31 games last season, averaging 13.4 points per game (PPG). She was second in the MAC in both minutes per game and three-pointers made per game (2.5).
