On Friday, Nov. 7, the African Student Association (ASA) is hosting a Mock African Wedding from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union Multipurpose Room 228.
Full of vibrant decorations, music and even a buffet-style dinner, this ceremony will be a celebration of traditional African culture for all to enjoy.
During the wedding, Ashley, ASA’s Event Coordinator, will be “married” to a groom whose identity remains a secret until the night of the event.
This ceremony will feature an array of African traditions while MCs, DJs and a performance from the Toledo African Dance Team bring the Multipurpose Room to life.
