Head Over Heels
A bold musical comedy is coming to the Wolf Center for the Arts starting Thursday, Nov. 20 through Sunday, Nov. 23. “Head Over Heels” is inspired by the 16th century poem “Arcadia” and set to the music of the 1980s rock band the Go-Go’s. The show’s creators, James Magruder and Jeff Whitty, also rocked Broadway with shows such as “Hedwig,” “The Angry Inch,” “Avenue Q,” and “Spring Awakening.” The show includes some of the Go-Go’s iconic tracks, such as “We Got the Beat”, “Our Lips are Sealed” and “Vacation.” The story follows the journey of a royal family while they save their kingdom from extinction, only to discover the key to their realm’s survival lies within their hearts. The show is in the Thomas B. and Kathleen Donnell Theater and tickets can be purchased online.

Recovery Support Group
The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) on campus hosts recovery support groups every third Thursday of the month from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union Room 309. Groups are free and peer-led for students who’ve experienced symptoms of a mental health condition. Those attending can gain insight and hear from trained leaders who’ve had experiences with mental health. Also, connect with others who have shared the same experiences. The program is a collaboration between NAMI on-campus, NAMI Wood County and the Office of Health and Wellness. The group is free to attend and doesn’t meet during holidays and breaks. Those interested in the support groups can visit NAMI’s website or the Office of Health and Wellness for more information.
