BGSU women’s basketball sophomore guard Johnea Donahue earned Mid-American Conference (MAC) Player of the Week for the first time in her career.
Donahue averaged 20 points, five rebounds, 4.5 assists and three steals in the Falcons’ matchups against Wisconsin and Marquette last week. She had a career-high 24 points against the Badgers along with a career-high six assists. She followed that performance with a team-leading 16 points against the Golden Eagles.
The Fort Wayne, Indiana native shot 51.8%, with a mark of 14-27 from the field. She added to this, making 12 of 13 free throws last week.
In the early part of the season, Donahue leads the Orange and Brown with 14.5 points per game. Her 3.5 steals per game are first in the MAC.
Donahue and the Falcons travel to Alaska to compete in the Great Alaska Shootout on Friday, Nov. 21, against UC Irvine at Alaska Airlines Center at 9:15 p.m. EST.
