For the second time this season, BGSU women’s basketball sophomore guard Johnea Donahue has been named Mid-American Conference (MAC) Player of the Week.
After missing two games due to injury, Donahue returned to the starting five for Bowling Green, recording a double-double in the team’s 73-69 win over preseason favorites Kent State to open up MAC play. The Fort Wayne, Indiana, native led the team with 19 points and also grabbed a career-high 11 rebounds. She scored 13 of her 19 points in the second half.
Donahue sealed the victory for the Falcons against Kent State, going to the charity stripe twice in the final 15 seconds and going 3-for-4 from the line.
The Falcons and Donahue close out the 2025 calendar year with their first MAC road game in Ypsilanti, Michigan, taking on the Eastern Michigan Eagles (6-5, 0-1) on Tuesday, Dec. 30, at George Gervin GameAbove Center.
