Movie night
Kick off the year with a relaxing and cozy movie night with friends. On Wednesday, Jan. 14, BGSU’s Student Engagement is hosting a movie night in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union, Room 206. They will be showing “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe,” with a hot chocolate bar available. So, wear your pajamas and bring your blankets and friends to enjoy a fun movie night to start the year. Vegan hot chocolate options will also be available.
Martin Luther King Junior Day of Service
The Martin Luther King Junior Day of Service, held by the C. Raymond Marvin Center for Student Leadership and Civic Engagement in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union Ballroom, is an opportunity for falcons to give back to the Bowling Green community. This event, held on Martin Luther King Junior Day, Monday, Jan. 19, is a public service event where students can register for on-campus or off-campus service opportunities. Students are encouraged to register before the day of the event. They can register by visiting the BGSU Serves web page and explore and choose a service opportunity that interests them. Volunteer check-in is at 8 a.m., and all service events are expected to end by or before 2 p.m.
Commuter and transfer student meet-up
Are you a commuter or transfer student looking for community or friends? BGSU’s Student Engagement hosts a weekly commuter and transfer student meet-up in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union, Room 220, where students can share experiences and make friends. This event will take place every Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This is a drop-in event where students can play board games, study or hang out with classmates.
Clubs At Cantina 1910
Clubs at Cantina 1910 is an opportunity for students to be introduced to campus clubs and activities. This event is located at Cantina 1910 on Monday, Feb. 2, from 5 to 9 p.m. in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union. The first 40 students to attend will receive $8 towards their meal at Cantina 1910.
