On Thursday, Jan. 29 at 7:30 p.m., the Bowen-Thompson Student Union Film Theater, Room 206, will be screening award-winning films from the Ann Arbor Film Festival (AAFF).
Moderated by Stephen Compton, associate teaching professor, this screening will feature avant-garde and experimental films.
According to the festival’s history and mission statement, the AAFF is the oldest experimental film festival in North America. Many prominent artists, such as Andy Warhol, Agnes Varda and George Lucas, debuted early work on this festival’s screens.
Additionally, the AAFF pioneered the traveling film festival, which allows this program to bring creativity and artistry to Bowling Green State University’s (BGSU) theater.
At this event, program 2 will be displayed, with a full list of featured films on its tour schedule.
