Palentine’s Day celebration
The Office of the Dean of Students will host a Palentine’s Day celebration from noon to 4 p.m. Feb. 12 at the Bowen-Thompson Student Union. The event encourages students to celebrate healthy relationships and friendships with friends, classmates and fellow falcons. Activities include making friendship bracelets, creating Palentine’s cards, crafts and games and assembling sweet treat boxes. Students can also take photos with friends at an Instax photo station to remember the day. Light refreshments will be provided. The event is open to all students and offers a relaxed space to take a break, connect with others and celebrate friendship. The Palentine’s Day Celebration is an opportunity for students to gather and celebrate each other and their relationships.

Valentine’s Movie Bingo Night
Students can celebrate Valentine’s Day with a cozy Movie Bingo Night featuring “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days” on Feb. 13 at 7 p.m in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union. The event invites attendees to watch the popular romantic comedy while playing an interactive online bingo game that follows along with the movie. Participants will have chances to win prizes throughout the night as they mark off bingo squares tied to memorable moments in the film. The event is designed to be low-pressure and welcoming, whether students attend alone, with friends or with a partner. With themed snacks, laughter and a little friendly competition, the night offers a relaxed way to enjoy Valentine’s Day. Battle of I-75
The Battle of I-75 returns as BGSU takes on Toledo from 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 14 at the Stroh Center. This game is a part of BGSU’s Spirit Week. Students are encouraged to wear orange, pack the stands and bring the energy for one of the Falcons’ biggest rivalry games of the season. In addition to the matchup, the game will feature the long-awaited reveal of BGSU’s mascots, Freddie and Freida. The mascots will unveil their identities, perform a special performance at half time and celebrate their time representing the university. Free student tickets are available to be downloaded. The night promises school spirit, tradition and a memorable falcon moment. Show your Falcon pride for the big rivalry match-up and witness the Freddie and Freida unveiling in person.

“Sinners” screening and discussion
Black Pop Culture Collective (BPCC) Week will begin with a university-wide screening of Sinners from 7 to 10 p.m. Feb. 17 at the Bowen-Thompson Student Union. Hosted by the BPCC, the event highlights a film that has made a strong cultural and academic impact since its release. The screening connects to themes in Black popular culture, film studies, history, communication and cultural studies. Following the film, attendees can take part in a guided discussion focused on narrative perspective, identity, morality and representation. The event also features a “Pick A Side” theme, encouraging students to dress in red, blue or black to represent key characters: Smoke, Stack and the vampire clan to help create an interactive community experience.
