A Dead Man’s Apartment
Support Bowling Green State University’s (BGSU) theater program by attending their next performance. “A Dead Man’s Apartment” by Edward Allan Baker, directed by John Jordan, is a performance about a married truck driver, Lonnie, and his married mistress, Nickie, who meet to talk and kiss in an apartment twice a week and the trouble and comedy that follows. The play will be held at the Wolfe Center for the Arts on Friday, March 13, at 8 p.m. The performance is free and open to the public. This performance contains strong language, including the use of a derogatory slur, sexual themes and references to suicide and homicide.

BGSU Campus ReStore Opening
The Campus ReStore, operated by the Office of Campus Sustainability, will only be open three more times this semester. The next opening is Monday, March 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the McDonald Hall annex. There will be a variety of gently used items offered at no cost. Attendees should bring their own bags and plan accordingly to transport what they take. Attendees should enter through the long glass hallway across from the Life Sciences building. The goal of the Office of Campus Sustainability is to reduce landfill waste while also allowing students to find items they may need or want. BGSU students, faculty and staff can donate to the ReStore through a donation bin in the glass hallway when the doors are open, typically from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Don’t miss the opportunity for free, quality items.

Centennial Popcorn and Pinball
Hosted by the Office of Residence Life and Student Engagement, students can enjoy an event outside of Centennial Hall that will feature a classic arcade vibe. The event takes place on Tuesday, March 17, from 4 to 6 p.m. This outdoor event will feature different activities, including arcade classic games and a pinball machine. There will also be fresh-popped popcorn to snack on while taking part in a friendly competition. This is the perfect way to relax during a busy afternoon and make some new friends while playing a variety of games. Students can drop in at any point during the event’s time frame. This event is meant to be a low-pressure and beginner-friendly environment where all skill levels are welcome.

Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper training
On Wednesday, March 18, from 9:30 to 11 a.m., the Office of Health and Wellness is hosting a Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper training session. The session will revolve around how to recognize the signs of a mental health crisis and how to question, persuade and refer someone going through a crisis. The evidence-based training session can empower students to make a difference and possibly save a life.
