BGSU women’s basketball sophomore guard Johnea Donahue has reportedly announced her intention to enter the transfer portal, per a report from Talia Goodman of On3.
Donahue was named the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Defensive Player of the Year, All-MAC Defensive Team and All-MAC Honorable Mention this past season. She was also named to the All-MAC Freshman Team and led the entire MAC in steals during her freshman season for Bowling Green.
The Fort Wayne, Indiana, native averaged 11.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 4.2 steals per game this past season with the Falcons.
Donahue’s 4.2 SPG was second in the nation, fifth in the NCAA in total steals with 118. She broke the program’s single-season record in steals, which was also the third-highest single-season total in MAC history.
The NCAA Division I women’s basketball transfer portal does not officially open until April 6.
