Rainn Wilson Brings Comedy to Campus
Emmy-nominated actor Rainn Wilson, best known for playing Dwight Schrute on the hit show “The Office”, will visit Bowling Green State University for a live event April 9 at the Stroh Center. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the show starting at 7:30 p.m. Hosted by the Office of Student Engagement, the evening will feature humor, storytelling and reflections from Wilson’s career, also including insights from his book Soul Boom and his series The Geography of Bliss. Tickets are still available to purchase for the event. Prices start at $25 for students and $35 for the general public.

Retro Night Brings Throwbacks to Campus
Students can take a trip down nostalgia lane during a retro-themed Falcons After Dark in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union Ballroom on Friday, April 10 from 7 to 10:30 p.m. The nostalgic evening will feature music, games and classic treats inspired by the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. Attendees can enjoy retro arcade games like pinball, participate in “Name That Tune” rounds featuring hits from past decades and create crafts such as CD and vinyl painting. They will also offer throwback snacks including Pop Rocks and DunkAroos. This free event is part of the university’s classic Falcons After Dark programming series which is designed to help students relax and connect on campus.

Say Cheese, Seniors
Graduating students at Bowling Green State University can capture their milestone with free senior photos outside Jerome Library on Tuesday, April 14 from 8 to 10 a.m. The one-day event invites seniors to take professional-style graduation pictures in front of the newly restored Jerome Library mural. Participants will receive a 15-minute photo session and at least three edited digital images to use for announcements, professional profiles or personal keepsakes. Organizers say the event offers students a memorable way to celebrate graduation while creating high-quality photos. Smile and make a long lasting memory. There are more activities for seniors on the way with Senior Week happening from April 20 to 24. There will be Pancakes with the President, a Senior Toast Celebration and a final End of the Year Celebration to send seniors on their way. Registration for the photo shoot is required, and spots are limited for the free sessions.

Gov. Mike DeWine at BGSU
The BGSU Democracy and Public Policy Network will host a Leadership Luncheon at the Bowen-Thompson Student Union in the Lenhart Grand Ballroom on Tuesday, April 14 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will feature a discussion on leadership, civility and lessons from the tenure of Mike DeWine, Ohio’s 70th governor. This luncheon advances the Democracy and Public Policy Network’s mission of promoting civic literacy. The free event is open to students, faculty, staff and the public, and includes a complimentary lunch for registered attendees. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis, with additional registrants placed on a waitlist if capacity is reached. Attendees are encouraged to register early to secure a spot.
