Bowling Green celebrates as Brynn Gardner scored the first of two goals on Sunday against Loyola Chicago.

Bowling Green women’s soccer took the home pitch at Cochrane Stadium for the first time on Sunday for a face-off with the Loyola University Chicago Ramblers.

The Falcons struck early with a goal courtesy of sophomore, Brynn Gardner, just under eight minutes into the match. Another first half goal came by way of fifth year, Katie Cox, as she delivered a shot to the top corner of the net to make it a 2-0 lead for Bowling Green.

Loyola Chicago had some chances but the BGSU goalkeeper combination of Madison Vukas and Lili Berg would hold the Ramblers scoreless.
