BGSU men’s basketball forward Youssef Khayat has signed a contract to play for the Sagesse Sports Club in Lebanon, according to the team’s official X page.
The 6–foot–9 forward returns to his hometown of Beirut, Lebanon, where he will continue his career at a professional level.
Khayat spent only one season with the Falcons, appearing in six games before being sidelined due to injuries.
In those six games, Khayat averaged 8.5 points on 53.3% shooting from the field and a blistering 93.8% from the free throw line.
In the wake of Khayat leaving, the Bowling Green Falcons have added former Eastern Kentucky University forward Mayar Wol.
Wol is a former four–star recruit from the class of 2023 and was the fifth-ranked player in the state of North Carolina.
Last season with Eastern Kentucky, Wol made 20 starts in 32 games and averaged 8.9 points and 4.8 rebounds. He was also named the Atlantic Sun Conference Sixth Man of the Year.
Wol is an efficient scorer, as last season he shot 40.4% from the field and 32.9% from three on 4.4 attempts from behind the arc per game.
Before landing with the Orange and Brown, Wol was committed to play with the Bradley Braves.
The Falcons open up the season on Nov. 3 against Texas State in the MAC–Sunbelt Challenge.
