Falcons After Dark silent disco:
Join Falcons After Dark for a night of silent disco and mocktails on Friday, Sept. 5 at 7 p.m. Upon arrival, each guest will receive a set of headphones that provide access to various music stations, allowing them to switch between genres and find the perfect soundtrack. If a break is needed from the dance floor, visit the mocktail station, where you can unleash your creativity and craft your very own unique non-alcoholic drink. Influencer at the Stroh Center:
On Monday Sept. 8, University Activities Organization (UAO) will be hosting Brittany Broski. Broski will be live performing a comedy show at the Stroh Center at 7:30 p.m. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and parking will be free. Student tickets are $22 and general tickets are $27. Tickets can be purchased in advance through the Stroh Center box office or the university’s ticketing website. Broski is a comedian and singer who has gained national recognition as the “Kombucha Girl” meme. Poster sale in the Union:
Get ready for the biggest back-to-school poster sale. On Monday, Sept. 8 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. in room 101 of Olscamp Hall, students can explore an impressive selection of thousands of posters, each showcasing a diverse array of themes designed to cater to various tastes and interests. Browsing through thousands of posters covering a wide range of themes, including music, movies, fine arts, humor, nature, motivation, fantasy and 3D designs, among many others. Free ice skating for students:
Free skating for students will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 3, Thursday, Sept. 4 and every Thursday following until Oct. 2. These skates will be from 9:10 to 10 p.m. in the Slater Family Ice Arena. During these events, students can enjoy free skate rentals simply by presenting their student ID at the entrance. Whether you’re a seasoned skater or trying it for the first time, Student Skate Nights promise an enjoyable and memorable evening for everyone involved. After a lively hour of skating, participants are encouraged to join in on a friendly game of broom ball, an entertaining mix of hockey and soccer played on the ice.
