BGSU football co-offensive coordinator, passing game coordinator and quarterbacks coach Travis Partridge has been dismissed from his duties on the coaching staff, Mike and Jan Wilcox Head Football Coach Eddie George announced during the team’s weekly press conference Monday.
“Unfortunately, our offensive performance is not achieving expectations,” George said. “We want to thank Travis for his contributions to the Bowling Green program.”
Co-offensive coordinator and offensive line coach Greg Nosal will take over full offensive coordinator and playcalling duties for Bowling Green.
Partridge was in his first season with the Falcons. He previously served as offensive coordinator under George at Tennessee State.
“We want to thank Travis and his family for their commitment and efforts during our transition to Bowling Green this year,” George said. “We wish nothing but the best for Travis in his next step professional.”
Bowling Green’s offense ranks just ninth out of 13 teams in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) with 304.9 total yards per game and 10th with 18.2 points per game. The Falcons have gone through four quarterbacks this season.
“There were just some things, philosophically speaking, that are no longer aligned with what I’m trying to do…I think coach Partridge is a phenomenal coach, great person, but just didn’t align with where we’re trying to go,” George said. “I think the feelings were mutual on that.”
