After a scoreless 110 minutes with double overtime, fifth-seed and Kent State outshot Ball State 20-8, but it would all boil down to an eight-round shootout for fourth-seed Ball State to get the win.

In this stalemate turned shootout thriller, fourth-seed Ball State secured the win in Columbus and will take on first-seed Western Michigan in the semifinals. 

Kent State ended its season with an 8-6-6 record.

BG pulls off the upset.

Buffalo may have had the second-seed stolen from them by Miami, but the sixth-seed Bowling Green Falcons would power through and pull off the upset after double overtime.

Bowling Green would end up outshooting Buffalo 8-6 (2-1 on goal) and will face second-seed Miami in the semifinals. 

Buffalo ended their season with a 12-5-2 record.
