BGSU men’s basketball guard Javontae Campbell has been named the MAC Player of the Week.
In the 101-100 overtime win over UMass, Campbell exploded for 47 points, a career high, and added eight assists.
The 47 points tie him for fifth-most in a single game scoring and the most points by a Falcon on the road in program history.
In addition to those stats, the 47 points are a Mullins Center record for most points scored in a single game. The previous record was held by former UMass guard Luwane Pipkins with 44 points.
This is the third time this season that he has won the award, previously being named to the award on Nov. 10 and Dec. 8.

I saw Jim Darrow score 52 pts twice back in the day.saw Butch Komives score a bundle too ( can’t recall exact number). But this effort certainly ranks up there with those two guys. Congrats on an amazing performance.
