BGSU men’s basketball has announced that sophomore guard Josiah Shackelford, junior forward Aiden Goins and freshman guard Makhi Leach will return for the 2026-27 season.
Shackelford was one of five players to play in all games in the 2025-26 season and during that time he made 14 starts. He ranked third on the team with 11.3 points per game and fourth in three-point percentage at 35.3%.
With a season-high of 23 points on the road against Davidson and nine games of 15 or more points, the Falcons return a solid perimeter piece.
Goins played in 25 games for BGSU last season and averaged 8.6 minutes per games last season.
The big man found his stride in the second half of the season, tallying four games with double-digit points, including a 10-point game off the bench at home against Toledo.
Meanwhile, Leach appeared in 26 games and averaged 8.5 minutes per game for the Falcons. Leach’s best performance was a 15-point outing against Siena Heights.
He played for assistant coach Anthony Stacey at Toledo Whitmer High School.
