After officially entering the portal on April 13, junior goaltender Cole Moore has committed to UMass Lowell of the Hockey East conference.
Moore spent three seasons with Bowling Green while appearing in 62 career games and posting a 2.73 goals against average and a .913 save percentage during his time in Northwest Ohio.
In BG’s most recent season, Moore appeared in 14 games and recorded a 2.37 goals against average to go along with a .913 save percentage while making 324 saves.
The UMass Lowell River Hawks finished last season with a 12-22-0 record and a 9-15-0 conference record to finish the season ninth in the Hockey East standings out of 11 teams.
Of the River Hawks’ three goaltenders last season, only freshmen Niko Goich and Austin Elliott will be returning after the departure of senior Samuel Richard due to graduation.
For Bowling Green, sophomore Tyler Palmer and freshman Jacob Steinman are set to return next year, with BGSU’s goaltending room picking up an additional member with a commitment from Cooper Michaluk of the Trail Smoke Eaters of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) before the transfer portal opening.
Moore will have one year of eligibility remaining as he enters his senior season with the River Hawks.
The NCAA men’s Ice Hockey transfer portal for undergraduate players officially opened on the morning of Monday, April 13, and will remain open for two weeks until Monday, April 27.
