BGSU women’s soccer (9-2-8, 4-1-7 MAC) received news of their 2025 All-MAC honorees earlier on Friday, with four Falcons being named, three of whom were named to the All-MAC First Team.
Juniors Emma Stransky, Gabby Lamparty, and Emme Butera were all named to the All-MAC First Team, the first of each of their careers. Redshirt freshman midfielder Minah Syam was the lone Falcon to find a spot on the All-MAC Freshman Team.
Stransky, who leads the team in scoring and is currently tied for third in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) with eight total goals on the season, was one of six Falcons, and the only forward to play in every regular season game for head coach Chris Fox. She is the first Falcon forward to make an All-MAC First Team since Brynn Gardner did so in 2023, and it is the second All-MAC award for the Copley, Ohio native, as she earned All-MAC Freshman Team honors in 2023.
Lamparty had a monster of a 2025 season after transferring from West Virginia, where she played in 29 matches across her first two seasons. In 19 matches with the Falcons, she amassed nine points from three goals and three assists, the most by any defender in the conference.
Butera made the step up to All-MAC First Team after making the All-MAC Second Team in 2024, starting all 19 matches and playing all but 25 minutes of the regular season. The midfielder earned seven points from one goal and five assists in 2025, a mark that ties her 2024 total and gives her 14 total points in 55 games played for BG throughout her first three seasons with the program.
Syam was the lone award winner outside of the first team, by being named to the All-MAC Freshman Team after missing all of her true freshman season due to injury and bouncing back by making a statement in 2025. The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native was the only freshman to play in every match, and she earned two assists for her efforts with her first career point coming in the Falcons’ 4-0 win over Central Michigan.
Four players earning All-MAC honors ties the squad’s total from the past two seasons, but it is the first time that three Falcons have made the All-MAC First Team since Kennedy White, Maya Dean, and Mackenzie Reuber made the squad in 2022.
All four of these Falcons will be in action on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 1 p.m. when the Falcons take on the Buffalo Bulls in the quarterfinal round of the MAC Tournament at Historic Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.
