Bowling Green softball senior second baseman Hannah Hunt has announced she has entered the transfer portal as a graduate student looking for her fifth year of eligibility.
In a public announcement on her Twitter/X account, Hunt stated:
“I am officially entered in the portal as a graduate student looking for her fifth year,” Hunt wrote. “I am a middle infielder/utility player. Here are some stats and clips from 2026 and 2025. Batting average .299 in 2026 and .366 in 2025.”
A native of Pataskala, Ohio, Hunt spent four seasons with the Falcons.
Hunt’s breakout as a junior and senior followed a sophomore season where she saw significantly less playing time. In 2024, Hunt appeared in just 15 games and made 13 starts. She finished that limited campaign batting .195 with eight hits, five runs scored, and four RBIs.
Prior to that, as a freshman in 2023, Hunt was a regular fixture in the Bowling Green lineup. She played in 41 games and made 34 starts (33 at second base, one at shortstop), recording 16 hits, four doubles, and 10 RBIs.
During her upperclassman years, however, Hunt evolved into a cornerstone of the Bowling Green offense. She led the Falcons in hitting for two consecutive seasons, batting .299 in 2026 while starting all 49 games at second base. In 2025, she started all 52 games and hit a team-leading .366 with 60 hits, 13 doubles, and a .433 on-base percentage.
Now entering the portal as a graduate student, Hunt is looking to find a new home to use her fifth year of eligibility, bringing with her the resume of a reliable every day starter and top hitter.
