Bowling Green men’s basketball junior guard Marcus Hill was named Mid-American Conference (MAC) Co-Player of the Week on Monday afternoon.

The nod marks the third time Hill, who shared the honor with Ohio’s Jaylin Hunter, has received the recognition. Hill was previously named MAC Player of the Week on Nov. 27 and MAC Co-Player of the Week on Jan. 22.

The Rockford, Illinois, native finished with 27 points, six rebounds and four assists in BG’s 87-73 win against Buffalo on Tuesday before tallying 22 points and six rebounds in Bowling Green’s 86-60 loss against Louisiana on Sunday.

Across the two games this past week, Hill averaged 24.5 points, six rebounds and three assists per contest, shooting 63.6% (21-33) from the field.

Hill has scored at least 20 points in nine consecutive contests, the longest streak in the nation this season.

After leading the National Junior College Athletic Association in points scored last season, Hill leads the MAC with 21.5 points per game, 517 points scored and 188 field goals made in his first season at the Division I level. He ranks sixth in the nation in field goals made and eighth in points per game.

Next up, Hill and the Falcons will stay on the road for the next two contests, starting with a matchup against Eastern Michigan in Ypsilanti on Saturday, Feb. 17. Tip-off between the Falcons and Eagles is set for 3:30 p.m.
