BGSU men’s soccer junior winger Jake Lane has announced via social media that he will not be returning to Bowling Green, thus entering the transfer portal.
In his two seasons with the Falcons, Lane played in 32 games while scoring two goals and recording six assists. Last season, the Chicago native started five matches for the Orange and Brown, while appearing in all 20 matches for head coach Eric Nichols.
Lane was named to the 2024 Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) All-Tournament Team and was the recipient of the MVC Elite 18 Award.
In the 2024 MVC championship match against Evansville, Lane came off the bench for Bowling Green scoring a goal and an assist in a 3-2 overtime loss to the Purple Aces.
Lane will be the first Falcon to enter the transfer portal since the conclusion of the 2024 season.
