BGSU men’s soccer has signed another player from the transfer portal, adding Brazilian goalkeeper Enzo Gil from Lindenwood University to the 2025 roster.
In 2024, Gil led the Lions to an 11-6-3 record, posting seven shutouts and totaling 59 saves while allowing 1.23 goals against average (GA/AVG). He was also named to the All-Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) Second Team.
Gil was the starting keeper’ for Lindenwood the past two seasons. He appeared in 38 matches while making 37 starts and posting a 17-12-8 record in net. The Sao Paulo native made 109 saves during his tenure with the Lions and posted 12 total shutouts in 2023 and 2024.
During his freshman year with Lindenwood, Gil was ranked second in the OVC with five shutouts and goals allowed per game (1.20). At the end of the season, he was named to the All-OVC Newcomer Team.
Bowling Green’s goalkeeping room currently consists of red-shirt sophomores Will Schutte, Jason Ball and now Gil. Each will be competing for the starting job in goal after the departure of Brendan Graves.
