BGSU men’s soccer senior forward Trace Terry has been selected as one of the 29 players in the country on the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List. This is given to the top player in Division I men’s soccer.
Terry becomes just the second ever Falcon to be named to the Hermann Trophy Watch List, joining Pat Flynn in 2015.
Entering his fourth season with Bowling Green, Terry has earned multiple accolades already before the Falcons kick off the season against IU Indy.
He earned a spot on the United Soccer Coaches 2025 Forwards to Watch list and ranked No. 25 on the TopDrawerSoccer Preseason Top-100 players list.
For the second straight season, he was named to the Preseason All-MVC Team. Plus was placed on the TopDrawerSoccer Preseason Best XI (All-America) Third Team after being an All-American last season.
He finished 2024 ranked in the top 20 in several different offensive categories and was tied for the MVC lead in game-winning goals, with five.
Last season, Terry scored 12 goals and four assists. Earning an All-Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) First-Team and All-Tournament Team selection.
In December of last year, Terry was selected by the Seattle Sounders in the third round (76th overall) of the 2025 MLS SuperDraft.
Electing to return for his senior season, he became the first Falcon to return to the program after being drafted and is the first player since Scott Vallow in 1999 to return to BG after being named an All-American.
Bowling Green and Terry start the 2025 season against IU Indy on Thursday, Aug. 21, at Cochrane Stadium, with kickoff at 7:00 p.m.
