BGSU football sophomore linebacker Dorian Pringle is out for the rest of the season with a torn ACL, Mike and Jan Wilcox Head Football Coach Eddie George confirmed after the team’s loss to Louisville on Saturday.
“Big loss for our defense,” George said postgame.
Pringle suffered the injury after celebrating his interception in the fourth quarter of Bowling Green’s Homecoming win over Liberty on Sept. 13.
Pringle finishes the season with 27 total tackles, 17 solo tackles, six tackles for loss, 0.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovered, one interception and one pass defended in three games.
“It’s tough. He’s irreplaceable, he’s such a good player. That’s my partner; we’ve done everything together for the past six months. Losing him hurts me, it hurts all of us deeply,” junior linebacker Gideon Lampron said. “He led the defense, he was the Mike, he had the green dot.”
The Akron, Ohio, native totaled two tackles in 12 games during his freshman campaign with the Falcons last year.
